Solid smoker
"This is my first entry into pellet smokers. I like the convenience. The heat-up is fast. The smoke generation feels lacking comparing to my old stick burner, but the ease of use (set-it-and-forget-it) are worth the trade-off for me. The build quality is excellent and assembly was actually fun. I will say that it is a beast and draws so much current on start-up that I need to have my outdoor outlets upgraded in my 50-year-old house. Right now I have to run it plugged directly into a newer (2017) GFCI outlet inside my kitchen. That part is a little less convenient :) but it works."

Watch the corners
"I do like my grill but I dont love it. I always thought my low pellet alarm on my GMG grill was annoying but I've ran this grill out twice in three weeks not realizing this grill eats pellets and has no low pellet alarm. The corners are sharp and they cut your cover when you slide it over them. Pros: It cooks great, haven't burnt a meal yet. I've used the indirect side to fry fish and that turned out well. The cover fits great and I love the hopper. Highly recommend the front shelf and the smoker is great for resting meat, warming hotlinks and precooked sausages. Haven't used the pizza oven yet but I'm looking forward to it."

Breaking new ground
"The 1200 dual is outstanding. I started reqtec with the 670. Which garter a rebuild paint and polish looks almost new after 12 years. My new Weber died in 4 years and decided to replace both. The separate chambers and heating methods solved my problems. This 2-1 combo checks all the boxes in one rugged cooking machine."

"I've just started using it and have cooked steaks and burgers that turned out awesome on the grill side. Smoking ribs and a whole chicken this weekend. We'll see how it goes. Assembly was fairly easy but its a big grill so have a helper."

Best smoker I’ve ever seen
"I absolutely love my recteq! So far I’ve smoked burgers and a Boston butt, and everything has turned out amazing. It holds temperature extremely well and makes it easy to get that great smoke flavor. Assembly was straightforward, and once I got it together, I was really impressed with the quality. This thing is built like a tank. You can tell recteq didn’t cut corners on the materials or construction. I’m looking forward to smoking briskets, ribs, steaks, and plenty more on it. I can already tell this grill is going to give my family and me years of great food, good times, and enjoyment. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made. Highly recommend recteq!"

"Very happy with the DualFire 1200! Temperatures are spot on and everything works great. Cooks great from ribs to brisket to pulled pork. I like that it has two burn pots for two zones and four meat probes, so multiple dishes can be cooked simultaneously. The smoker side plus the direct fire side give me the best of both worlds. Q&A
- Does the dual fire have an option for a seer plate for the direct heat side? I didn't see it in your accessories. Your description states that your seer kit will work on a 1200 dual fire but it looks like it is for the indirect side. Thank you in advance.
- You can use the sear kit on the direct side though it is not necessary.
